Brianna Titone - The Washington Post
Colorado’s Brianna Titone is one of America’s eight transgender state legislators. In a state with a Democratic supermajority, she could stay on the winning side & push through easy wins, but Titone has made a habit of crossing the aisle for bipartisan bills and finding common ground. She spends time in the Republican side of the Capitol, joking with conservative lawmakers about their cowboy boots vs. her patent leather Fluevogs. In the wake of the Club Q mass shooting in Colorado Springs,Titone has introduced legislation to protect gender-affirming care in Colorado, while at the same time working to build relationships with the very conservatives voting against protections for transgender people. Be sure to read the fantastic story about Titone by Casey Parks over at The Washington Post.
